Resilience Exercise #1

Exercise #1 - Grounding yourself in your environment

mindfulness
Taking time during your day to ground yourself  and be fully present with the moment is a great strategy to calm your mind. Take five minutes to do this exercise.
It can be done indoors or outdoors. 

• Take the time to take in your surroundings

• Name what you see

• Notice the sounds, smells and colours around you.

• Focus on an object nearby and take the time to look at it and describe it to yourself (shape, size, colour, texture etc)
